HARDLY ANY CHRISTIANS WILL BE RAPTURED!
Harry Bethel

Christians living at the time of the Great Tribulation would have a higher probability of winning a state lottery than being raptured. (This is not to say that Christians should participate in lotteries; indeed, they should not.)

Doubtless, this is one of the most astonishing and sobering truths concerning the rapture of true Christians. This article will be extremely troubling to some, and comforting to others.

You should carefully read this short article or else you will probably misunderstand the important truths presented herein. There are several scriptural truths that you must accept in order to see the truth of the main issue presented.

First, there will be no pre-tribulation rapture of Christians. Christians will go through the Great Tribulation. If you refuse to accept this truth, then there is no need for you to read the rest of this article. If you have not accepted the truth of a post-trib rapture, but have a teachable spirit and truly want to know the truth about the timing of the rapture, please read, before continuing, the article titled Pre-Trib Rapture---Fact or Fable?

Second, because of the great apostasy (falling away from truth) of true Christians, God will give power to the Antichrist to overcome the saints (Daniel 7:25; 12:7; Revelation 13:7). Because of the apostasy, because of Christians abandoning the faith, because of the love of many Christians growing cold, because of the worldliness and lukewarmness of Christians, because of many Christians leaving their first love, because most Christians are not disciples according to Luke 14:26, 27 and 33, because most Christians are lacking in power (never having been filled with the Holy Spirit), because of the overwhelming shock of realizing the pre-trib rapture teaching was false, and because of embracing the lie of unconditional eternal security, many Christians will compromise and take the mark of the beast---thereby forfeiting their salvation and will not be raptured.

Third, many Christians who refuse to "go along with the program" and refuse to take the mark of the beast will be martyred rather than raptured.

Jesus asked the rhetorical question "Will He find faith on the earth" when He returns? (Luke 18:8). The clear implication is that He will not, or at best, will find only a few faithful ones. Jesus also said that when He comes back it will be like it was in the days of Noah. Of the perhaps millions of people on the earth at that time, only eight people were considered righteous and could enter the ark. All the rest of mankind perished in the flood.

When we compare scripture with scripture and realize the great falling away from truth, and the prevailing apostate condition of true Christians during the worst times that the earth has ever seen, we can easily see that there will probably be only a handful of Christians who will be overcomers through the Great Tribulation and be alive when Jesus returns.

The comforting aspect of knowing these truths is this: If you are living during the time of the Great Tribulation you do not need to be concerned about what you will eat, or what you will drink, or how you will pay your rent, etc., and how to provide for your family because, if you do not take the mark, there is an extremely high probability that you will be martyred. In any case, you need not worry because those who are true disciples of Jesus (according to Luke 14) and who are filled with the Holy Spirit will be provided for, even if it takes miraculous provision such as manna from heaven or multiplying the flour and oil, or multiplying the fish and loaves, or sending ravens with meat and bread. Jesus will never forsake you, but will you forsake Him as the Laodecian Christians did whom He rebuked and warned that He was about to vomit them out?

May the Lord open your eyes to the truths in this article in these last days of apostasy when as much as half of that which is taught by Christians is a lie and doctrines of demons.
